Chemo-Cyclus/Cycle 2-Day 2

Dag 2 - Goed geslapen - met uiteraard de ondertussen bekende momenten om naar het toilet te gaan elke 2 uur - ik krijg namelijk veel vochtbaxters toegediend die ervoor moeten zorgen dat de chemoproducten zelf mijn nieren niet aantasten. Dus zelfs 's nachts moet ik een log bijhouden van de milliliters... werken voor terug in slaap te mogen vallen... :.)

Gisteren heb ik (en dit zal elke opname gebeuren) een RX Thorax gehad (foto longen) waarop ze ongeveer kunnen zien wat er gebeurt met het kliertje bij mijn borstbeen - en elke 2 cycli zal ik een scan krijgen waarop ze nauwkeurig kunnen gaan meten - dat laatste is voor volgende keer..

Ik heb de dokteres op bezoek gehad deze namiddag - en ze wist me te vertellen dat ze op de RX al konden zien dat het kliertje op zicht al aan het verkleinen was! SUPERNIEUWS!!! Dit duidt erop dat het hoogst waarschijnlijk is dat de scan volgende keer zal confirmeren dat de chemo zeer goed aan het aanslagen is. Geweldig nieuws is dat - aangezien onze 2de cyclus een punt was om te weten of hij aanslaagt en of de chemo kan verder gezet worden - het ziet ernaar uit dat dit zo is!!!

Day 2 - Slept well - 'as usual in these chemo days (I know all of them now ;.)) I had to go to toilet every 2 hours, as I get a lot of water baxters to reduce the negative impact the chemo has on my kidneys. So even at night I need to work and keep a log...
As for every cycle, I started yesterday with a RX Thorax (picture of lungs) in which they can see the evolution of the gland nearby my sternum.

When the doctor came visiting me this afternoon she told me they could see at sight that the gland had become smaller on the picture compared to before - this is such WONDERFUL NEWS!!! It is going to lead most probably into the possiblility to contuinue this chemo after the second cycle (where ascan will measure the gland and confirm this hopefully given the effect of the one I am now getting on top of it). You can't believe how happy I am - as after the second cycle they needed to tell me whether I could continue with this treatment or not...
